The Story

For ceramic wall tiles only — not suitable for wet rooms or communal showers. For wet rooms, power showers, or areas subject to vibration, use UltraTileFix ProSuper White instead.

A high-grab, non-slip, ready-mixed acrylic wall tile adhesive specially formulated for the speedy application of standard and large-format wall tiles. The exceptional grip holds heavy tiles in position immediately, reducing the need to batten or prop tiles while the adhesive sets. Suitable for domestic bathrooms, kitchens, and showers. Contains an antifungal additive to prevent mould build-up.

How to apply this adhesive Surface prep · setting out · fixing · grouting
Before you start
1
Prepare the surface — it must be flat, clean, dry, and free from dust or loose material. Remove any flaking or peeling layers.
New plaster or cement render: allow at least 4 weeks to cure. New brickwork or concrete: allow at least 4 weeks.
2
For plasterboard, brace and screw boards horizontally and vertically at 300mm centres. Maximum tile and adhesive weight: 32kg/m².
3
In domestic showers, ensure 100% solid bed coverage — do not leave voids behind tiles as trapped water will cause adhesive failure.
4
Mark a true horizontal datum line one tile height up from the floor or bath edge using a spirit level. Fix a timber batten along this line as a temporary ledge.
5
Find your vertical centre — dry-lay a row of tiles from the centre outwards to check cut sizes at both edges. Adjust so cuts are equal and at least half a tile wide.
Fixing & finishing
6
Apply adhesive to the wall with a notched trowel (6×6mm notch for 3mm bed). Work in sections no larger than 1m² to prevent skinning.
Open time: 20 minutes. Max bed depth: 3mm. Do not spot-bond.
7
Press each tile firmly into place with a slight twisting action. The high grab formula holds tiles in position quickly — check alignment promptly within the 20-minute open time.
8
Occasionally lift a tile to check adhesive contact — minimum 50% coverage for dry areas; 100% solid bed for showers and wet areas.
9
Clean surplus adhesive from tile faces and grout joints immediately with a damp cloth before it dries. Build in expansion joints at all internal corners.
10
Grout after 18 hours minimum. On impervious or sealed surfaces, allow longer before grouting.
Seal bath and shower tray edges with a compatible silicone sealant.
